Pay What You Want
Shedding Subtle Fears
In this 90-minute Somatic Insights class, we'll explore movement and inner inquiry to shed subtle fears and doubts that linger in our biology. Working directly with the Soma (the body) through movement can help shift subconscious patterns that keep us stuck. Working directly with the mind can bring the subconscious to light and open us up to new possibilities.
We'll anchor our physical exploration in the psoas muscle. The psoas complex tends to be very responsive and is one of the first large skeletal muscles to respond when your nervous system perceives danger. Just imagine the drive to curl up in a ball or run for the hills. Both of those have roots in the psoas, and all the wee little nerve ends that are part of the lumbar plexus.
This dynamic muscle-in-tissue (i.e., fascia) might even be considered a continuous extension of the diaphragm via the crura. So every startled breath tugs and reverberates throughout the psoas and all that it's connected to.
But it isn't just the neurological relationships that keep the psoas at the top of the tissue-centric fight, flight, freeze, and delight system. This dynamic muscle-in-tissue (i.e., fascia) might even be considered a continuous extension of the diaphragm via the crura. So every startled breath tugs and reverberates throughout the psoas and all that it's connected to.

❤️ Dāna: pay from the heart
This Session is a pay-from-the-heart class. If you are not a member, you can make minimal contributions or pay what feels aligned in your heart.
Why Dāna?
Generosity is a matter of heart, not income.
Cultivating gratitude and generosity. Dāna is the practice of mutually dependent arising—understanding that everything is contingent upon everything else. It’s knowing that true well-being arises in every interaction we have with ourselves, each other, and the world.
The practice of no separation. The practice of receiving Dāna is just as rewarding as the practice of offering it — no separation between my practice and the practice of others. It can deepen our (yours and mine) experience of trust, goodwill, gratitude, and community.
Giving back. I wanted to find a way to support those who wouldn't otherwise be able to work with me without one of us compromising our financial well-being.
