Hi, I’m Buffy.
I know how it feels to do everything right and still feel like a stranger in your own skin.
If you’ve read or heard my story, you know I’ve been dancing with metabolic health since the fourth grade. But once I hit my ‘pause years (hello, menopause), everything changed.
I put on weight, my body became stiff, my emotions fragile, and I didn’t feel like myself.
I kept thinking, “What’s wrong with me?”
Even with decades of experience with using food as medicine, meditation, and embodied movement, I still felt like I didn’t recognize myself anymore. I had to go deeper.
I finally decided to seek certification in Functional Medicine Health Coaching and took a deep dive into the dark night of the soul (with support). The health coaching education helped me deepen my understanding of the fascinating interplay between hormones, sleep, stress, and weight. The soul work helped peel away layers of conditioning and opened me up to the immense gifts of the pause years.
When I finally gave myself space to listen to the inner nudges and tend to my sense of safety and support, everything shifted. That shift laid the foundation for deeper inner work and more confidence in what I bring to the world!
That’s why I am passionate about Pause Well. Women deserve better than Band-Aids and burnout. They deserve to be resourced, to tap into the wisdom within their own bodies, and feel empowered to show up fully in the world.
