Away From Addictive Habits
I came home exhausted yesterday after a social function and went straight to bed, but instead of putting on my audiobook or watching something, instead, I searched for a "sleep" lesson from your site - head up and down, back and forth. It was the perfect thing to get me right to sleep (and to get me away from addictive habits).
This morning instead of dozing, I searched for a tongue lesson to do before I even got out of bed. What a wonderful way to end and start the day, and I could feel right away how just these few minutes can go a long way to integrate the kinds of things I want to be integrating.

From Injury to Discovery
Initially, I came to Buffy to see if the Feldenkrais Method could help me overcome limitations from an injury. I’ve stayed because it offered that and so much more.
Now, at 62, I benefit on many other levels. Each class is a journey of discovery for me. They’re challenging but mentally and physically rewarding. I find a chance to laugh at myself and the habits I’ve developed over the years, which may have been useful when I was younger but now limit me. With Buffy’s guidance, I find new and easier ways to move, and my listening, concentration, and observation skills have all improved.

Less Pain. Fewer Meds.
...I continue to experience nothing short of phenomenal growth in so many areas.
I have significantly reduced the # of medications I take/took regularly and have cut way back on the dosages of others. There has been such a reduction in pain overall that I was able to do things I hadn’t done in years, even decades, including riding my bicycle, cooking, and my main love, playing guitar.

I had a massive headache and my shoulder, spine, and lower back felt pretty awful. I laid on the floor and did the Gentle Blanket lesson from Gently Unwind Your Spine series. I got off the floor feeling much better, and I went straight to bed... I'm feeling so much better today!

Calm & Soothe Practices To The Rescue.
The “Letting Go Of Tension Meditation” was simply wonderful! It was relaxing, mesmerizing, and successful at helping me to reduce my pain. Just what I needed.

Wow! I'm going to nickname this practice "the headache eliminator." I had some pounding going on in my head and neck earlier today, but after doing this Attune to Awareness practice, it's 100% gone. The movements were soft and gentle, and I could feel the space inside my head open up….
I can manage discomfort with my mind and body.
These phenomenal practices are teaching me that I can manage discomfort with my mind and body. That I don't have to sink into a state of despair, allow myself to become "disabled," or take medications to cope with pain. Instead, I have the power to make myself better!
